Hailing from midtown Detroit, Shelley Schenk graduated from the Wayne State University Law School in 2002 and did post JD coursework in International Human Rights at Penn. She is an Assistant Fiction Editor at Philadelphia Stories. Her Pushcart nominated short fiction has appeared in The Copperfield Review, Literally Stories, Stonecoast Review, Bookends Review,Philadelphia Stories, and New Zealand’s Phantom Billstickers Cafe Reader. She practices law freelance on a limited basis and is working on a novel. She lives in Bird in Hand, Pennsylvania with her husband, Mark.
