Zinzi Clemmons is a native of the Philadelphia area and a graduate of Brown University and Columbia University’s MFA Program in Creative Writing. Her writing has appeared in Zoetrope: All Story, Transition Magazine, African American Review, and The Common, among others. She has received fellowships or support from MacDowell, the Fine Arts Work Center, Art Farm Nebraska, Voices of Our Nations Arts Foundation and Columbia University. She is a founding editor of Apogee, a literary journal on identity and politics.
