Linda Chavers is a Washington, DC native. Her writing on personal narrative, race, sexuality and popular culture appears online at Gawker, Dame, Independent, and The Guardian and The Feminist Wire. She received her MA in English and PhD in African American Studies from Harvard University. She teaches Intellectual Heritage at Temple University and volunteers with Women Organized Against Rape in Philadelphia. She is currently working on her first memoir.
