Kathleen Furin

Kathleen Furin is a social worker, childbirth educator, and the founder of the Maternal Wellness Group. Her work has been published in Philadelphia Stories, Apiary, Literary Mama, the Philadelphia Inquirer, Midwifery Today, the Mother’s Movement Online, and other journals. Her essay “Album” was included in the Operation Homecoming anthology, a collection of writings about the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Her short story “Out” was included in the Prompted anthology.

Kathleen currently attends the MFA program in Creative Writing at NYU, commuting from Philadelphia where she lives with her husband and two daughters.
